Alternative Spring Break

Trinidad & Tobago

Students will travel to the country of Trinidad for a week of service learning projects. This non-credit bearing venture does allow students to gain Tiger Stripes while giving back to an international community. After a week of working, students have the opportunity to relax on the incredible beaches of the island of Tobago. 

Programs and Opportunities

Students will work with a number of community programs and make connections with local change makers. Volunteering with local K-12 students, orphanages, community food banks, and more. This trip has a little something for anyone that wants an unforgettable spring break experience.

Room and board, field trips, insurance, and round-trip airfare from Savannah, Georgia are included in the estimated program cost. Passports fees are not included in the program cost. This course is not available for credit, but for volunteer hours and stripe awards.

Cost: $1700

 

Cuba

Students will travel to the country of Cuba for a week of service learning projects. This non-credit bearing venture does allow students to gain Tiger Stripes while giving back to an international community. While the week is dedicated to shadowing K-12 teachers and absorbing the culture of the community, there will be time allotted for touring and sightseeing.
