Cost of Attendance
Student tuition charges are determined by the student's level, residency classification, and course taught each semester. Prices listed are per semester. Please note these are Estimated Costs based on the 2023-2024 academic year. Savannah State reserves the right to make changes to charges for any and all programs at any time, after approval by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents.
Students are assigned and charge for a residence hall after completing the Housing application process, including the successful payment of the Housing Application Fee. Charges are assessed per semester and dependent on residency. Please refer to your signed housing contract for details on the room, meal plan, and associated residential life charges.
Specific programs require student health insurance. Only students in those specific programs will be charged for the student health insurance.
Upon registration, real-time billing can be located in your PAWS account, under View/Pay Your Bill and then view your On-Demand Statement. All charges are due by the advertised Payment Deadline on the Academic Calendar for that semester.

The total cost of an education includes direct costs which may appear on your student bill such as tuition and required fees. You should also anticipate incurring some indirect costs* that would not show on your student bill such as books, personal expenses, and transportation. While every student’s actual costs vary, the following figures should provide a helpful, general guideline.

The calculator is intended to give students an early approximation of what they could expect to pay at Savannah State University as well as the average aid that students may qualify for. This calculator is not an application for financial aid and the results are estimates, not guarantees. Students should apply for financial aid as soon as possible. February 1st is the priority deadline for Federal Financial Aid.
