Online Education
Online Education at SSU provides high quality learning and flexibility for our students, faculty, and staff. Users can access SSU online classes using Brightspace (D2L) and eCore courses in GoView. All users have access to resolve issues and faculty can review available resources to aid in course development.
Whether you are a new student at SSU or about to complete your final course for a degree, we are devoted to helping you meet your academic, personal, and professional goals.
Having a hard time making it to class? Too many commitments give you an inconsistent daily schedule? You don't have to choose between work, family, and school. With online education at SSU you can take classes on your own time, watch lectures morning or night, submit homework online, and still complete your college degree.

Through STUDENT RESOURCES, SSU provides an extensive array of services to students for both campus and online students. Some services by their nature are location-bound, while others can be delivered and accessed by students wherever they study.
State Authorizations
The U.S. Department of Education requires compliance with state regulations of any state in which SSU provides distance education for students. To facilitate this compliance with state regulations, SSU has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA).
This agreement allow SSU to offer distance education to other member states. To find out if you state of residence is a member state before applying to a program with SSU, please visit the NC-SARA website, https://nc-sara.org/.
Out-of-State-Complaint Resolution
Savannah State University is committed to addressing student grievances, complaints, and concerns in a timely manner. Students residing outside the State of Georgia while attending SSU who desire to resolve a grievance should follow the grievance procedure outlined in the Catalog and Student Handbook. NC-SARA’s interest is also ensuring that member institutions maintain appropriate grievance procedures and standards of procedural fairness and that the procedures are applied appropriately.
Non-Georgia residents attending distance learning classes at SSU may file a formal complaint/grievance in writing using the appropriate form, https://gnpec.georgia.gov/student-resources/student-complaints/ga-sara-online-student-complaint-form
