The majority of our faculty members have earned Ph.D.'s from internationally recognized institutions and possess significant business experience that enable them to effectively teach in their business disciplines. Fully Online Program...with hybrid options

Flexibility

Students choose the number of courses to fit your schedule. Classes are offered in two modalities: online and hybrid. Students will find flexibility in a schedule that contains fully online classes and hybrid classes. Summer terms are fully online.

The length of this MBA program depends on how many classes a student completes per year. Typically, students earn their MBA in 12 to 21 months.

State Authorizations 

The U.S. Department of Education requires compliance with state regulations of any state in which SSU provides distance education for students. To facilitate this compliance with state regulations, SSU has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA). 

This agreement allow SSU to offer distance education to other member states. To find out if you state of residence is a member state before applying to a program with SSU, please visit the NC-SARA website, https://nc-sara.org/

Out-of-State-Complaint Resolution 

Savannah State University is committed to addressing student grievances, complaints, and concerns in a timely manner. Students residing outside the State of Georgia while attending SSU who desire to resolve a grievance should follow the grievance procedure outlined in the Catalog and Student Handbook. NC-SARA’s interest is also ensuring that member institutions maintain appropriate grievance procedures and standards of procedural fairness and that the procedures are applied appropriately.

Admissions & Application...

Admission to the MBA Program is competitive and decisions are made on a rolling-basis. This means that application packets are reviewed when they are complete and decisions are made in a reasonable time period. Seats are filled as decisions are made, so candidates are encouraged to complete their applications as soon as possible.

The Program looks at a variety of criteria that measure the candidate's potential for being a successful graduate student and business leader. Factors used in determining admission include:

A complete application includes the MBA Application: Complete an Online Application, $25 Application Fee, 500 - 1000 word statement of purpose, official transcripts from each college/university attended, two letters of recommendation, current resume, immunization certificate, and copy of the front & back of your driver's license.

*GMAT / GRE is waived for students who have earned a Bachelor's Degree with an overall GPA of 2.50 or higher.

Pre-MBA Program

The Pre-MBA Program at SSU is designed for students who do not have time to prepare for, or do not wish to sit for either the GMAT or the GRE. The Pre-MBA program requires online coursework that prepares the student for the rigor within the MBA program. Successful completion of the Pre-MBA program allows the student to apply to the Savannah State University MBA program without the GMAT or GRE. This program is offered fully online and requires a Photo ID, transcripts and the Pre-MBA Application. Non-U.S. resident applicants may also be required to submit an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score, and translated academic transcripts. We strongly encourage international candidates to apply early. Classes start in January (Spring), August (Fall) and May (Summer).
