    Study Abroad : Costa Rica

    This short documentary was produced by Jeremy Joshua, a Mass Communications major who was part of the summer 2014 trip.

    Programs and Opportunities

    The Study Abroad Program to Costa Rica is led by Dr. Tedrick and takes place during the summer semester for about 4 weeks (May 13 - June 20) with 2 weeks of travel to Grecia, Costa Rica (May 13 - May 27). The program is designed to give students the opportunity to spend time in Costa Rica studying the history and culture of Latin American. Students can take their choice from 1 to 3 courses for 3 credit hours each. Room and board, field trips and round trip airfare from Savannah, Georgia are included in the estimated $2590 program cost. Travel insurance, passport and visa fees, and required immunization fees are not included in the program cost.

    Students will study at Academia Centroamericana de Espanol (ACCE)/San Jose City

    STAB 1006--Elementary Spanish II

    STAB 2001--Intermediate Spanish I

    SPAB 2002--Intermediate Spanish II

    SPAB 3100--STAB Adv. Conversation and Composition

    STAB 3001--STAB Civilization & Culture of Latin America

    STAB 3003--Introduction to Business Spanish

    Eligibility : Open to all University System of Georgia undergraduate and graduate students.

    Cost: $2600

    Includes room and board, field trips and round trip airfare from Savannah, Georgia.
