Director of Interdisciplinary Transportation Studies
Dr. Lambright is the Dean of College of Sciences and Technology, and a Full Professor in Engineering Technology Department. Dr. Lambright has worked for 12 years in Higher Education. Worked for approximately 14 years in industry. Degrees are in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Experience includes teaching, computer business applications, manufacturing software development.
Director of Interdisciplinary Transportation Studies and Coordinator of Transportation Certificate Program
Dr. Niranjan is an Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain in the College of Business Administration. He teaches Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Statistics and Quantitative Methods . He is also the Director of Interdisciplinary Transportation Studies, and Coordinator of Global Logistics and International Business (G-LIB)
His research interests lie in inventory control and optimization, supply chain optimization, applied discrete event simulation, applied Monte Carlo simulation, reverse logistics, multi‐variate statistical analysis, cross‐cultural research, and entrepreneurship. He is also a big advocate of interdisciplinary STEM education.
SENIOR PERSONNEL
Dr. Knakiewicz has seven years of field experience as an Interior Systems Estimator, Construction Crew Supervisor, Municipal Engineer/Inspector, and small business owner.
He is currently an active member in the ASCE, ASEE, and EWB, with previous and current research projects that include porous asphalt pavement design, the strength of metals, and material testing/finite element analysis for Solar Roadways.
Dr. Rukmana is an associate professor and coordinator of Urban Studies and Planning Program. He received a PhD degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University and completed master’s degrees from the University of Southern California as well as Bandung Institute of Technology.
His current research centers on health disparities, homelessness and poverty in the US, and spatial planning, housing and development challenges in Indonesia.
Dr. Javid joined Savannah State University in 2016 as an assistant professor of Civil Engineering and the director of the Transportation Infrastructures and Geotechnics Education and Research (TIGER) Group.
Her main areas of research interest are big data statistical analysis, sustainable policy evaluation, transportation planning and climate change, transportation and public health, alternative fuel vehicle adoption, and High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes.
Dr. Mustafa is a professor and the chair of the engineering technology department at Savannah State University (SSU). Dr. Mustafa has been actively involved in curriculum development and managing external funding grants. Currently he is the campus coordinator for the NSF PSLSAMP grant and the Co-PI for the NSF NOYCE grant.
Dr. Mustafa has several publications and professional presentations in the American Society of Engineering Education. Dr. Mustafa mentored several undergraduate research students that led to presentations and publications in several conferences. His students won several awards.
SUPPORTING FACULTY
Dr. Arora is an Assistant Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Savannah State University. Amit holds a Ph.D. from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia, USA.
His current research interests are sustainability strategies in supply chain management, supply chain collaboration and experiential innovative gaming exercises for teaching.
Henry Taylor is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering Technology at Savannah State University. He has served Savannah State University for 25 years. Also, he has three years of Industrial Experience. During his 25 years, he has served as Interim Program Coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Technology Program and as Coordinator of Mechanical Engineering Technology Program. He has received B.S. in Chemical Engineering and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tuskegee University.
Dr. Cox is a conservation biologist with expertise in the spatial ecology of large marine vertebrates. She runs the Savannah State University Dolphin Science (SSUDS) lab that hosts graduate (MS) and undergraduate students.
