Welcome to the home page of Savannah State University's Division of Business & Financial Affairs Financial Systems & Business Compliance Office. This office coordinates the editing, review, issuance, and archiving of all official Financial Affairs business policies, presented in 13 "subject" sections: Business Compliance; General Accounting; Accounts Payable (including University Travel); Budget; Cash and Investments; Financial Aid; Fixed Asset Management & Inventory; Grants & Contracts; Help Desk; Payroll; Procurement; Receipting & AR; and, Miscellaneous. Within these sections you will find standardized policies that have been through the official development process.
Savannah State's Fiscal policies connect the university's mission to the everyday actions of its community, clarify the institution's expectations of its individual members, mitigate institutional risk, enhance efficiency, and support the university's compliance with laws and regulations.
Financial Systems
About: PeopleSoft Financial System is the University's system used to administer and account for institution resources. This program is accessed daily by Business & Financial Affairs staff to conduct University business -- i.e. general accounting, accounts payable, purchasing, grants & contract management, budget, and e-Procurement. Financial System is only compatible with Firefox, Chrome, or IE9.
To obtain access to the site, complete the Security Access Request form and submit as specified on form. Once submitted follow the steps below.

Once all steps have been successfully satisfied, and assessment satisfactorily completed with a score of 70% or better, your form will be approved and access setup.
All users (both core users and self-service users) will be forced to change their passwords upon initial login after the cutover.
Requirements for these new passwords are:
- 10 characters in length
- Must contain at least 2 numeric characters and 1 upper case letter
- Allowable special characters are any of the following:
! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | [ ] { } ; : / ? . > < - Password history must be different for 8 consecutive passwords
- User will be locked out after 5 unsuccessful login attempts
If you continue to have problems accessing PeopleSoft you will have to contact Computer Services, specifically Bart Hunter regarding password resets and/or logging into PeopleSoft.
About: The Policy & Procedure Manager is a software tool designed to administer the policies, procedures, and manuals for Business & Financial Affairs. This tool is used to create, edit, approve, and house Business & Financial Affairs policies, and archive old version when new policies or changes to policies occur.
